So, the players I thought would win the title from the start are still in the tourney and looking strong. So, on the men's side I am taking the favorite, Rafael Nadal, to win it all. On the women's side, I am not taking the favorite, however it is the favorite beyond Serena. Justine Henin is my pick on the women's side. I know these are fairly obvious picks but I get very excited when my favorite tennis players are still in the draw.

Today's pick of the day is the Mets finishing off the sweep over the Phillies. Some of you might be wondering how i could ever make the phillies losing my pick of the day. Let me explain.
1. Mike Pelfrey has been outstanding all year long and is off to a quick 6-1 start
2. Jose Reyes is back and seems to have his legs underneath him for the first time in over a year.
3. The phillies are struggling mightily

so we have a coupla argentine relegation matches.these are tough calls but i would favor the visiting teams who are still in the clausura or premier league, especially in the 2nd match w/ la plata getting a half goal.i really expect low scoring draws in both matches.look at the odds for over/under

Tuesday night
Lately some success has come so I'll blog about what I really like tonight in case anyone's paying attention and is wagering real money. These are in order of how much I like them, for comparison purposes, with your own notes.
I like Phillies -1.5 tonight with Halladay not needing the copious run support he will surely get with his counterpart from the Rockies walking at least 5 per game this season.
The Rays losing 4 in a row would be shocking to me. I like them to bounce back and beat the Angels tonight.
The dog I really like is Eveland pitching for the Blue Jays over Daisuke. The Red Sox lack identity and this rotation of #4-5 starters that now includes Matsuzaka is indicative of one of their many issues early in the season. Jays get up early and win. This is a great 5 inning play too. I think I'll go back and put these up.
Following the trends of WLWLW for Cavs tonight. That also coincides with OUOUO, so take the Cavs -7.5 and the over.
Cliff Lee gets his first win as a Mariner tonight. I have no idea which Seattle players will score runs though.

blackpool won phase 1 @ blackpool, 2-1.that goal they gave up may haunt them.this is going to be a hard fought match but i really favor the Forest here.thay have to win to make it to the next round for possible promotion to the EPL, and lord knows thats what they want.get risky and give up a goal but i feel this game is decided by 1.Nottingham @ -180 is quite favorable odds - no doubt!! by the way - forest has been money at home.

sunday mother's day
last weekend for EPL - alotta games mean actually nothing be mindful & pack and choose your winners.a coupla plays i really like:
west ham @ home getting a .5 goal v. man city-i really feel the hammers may win this straight up.i also like tottenham a whole bunch, they need a want the win to solidify position.
of course the usuals chelsea, manu, and arsenal are all @ home and crazy favorites.
in other action-some sure fire solid winners:

a word of advice:
here i was sittin' pretty w/ lotsa points made as i have been having some excellent fortune with the nhl playoffs.in 2 days i've lost over 6K in points to 2 venues.womens tennis and early AM japan league soccer. way too many womens favorites been losing lately.i lost on 4 straight earlier in the week.the japan league-i got greedy, went with what seemed like a sensible fave and lost just short of 4K today.the league is shifty & volatile.and now i'm struggling to re-establish my pointroll.
went w/ long shot & a personal fave, nottingham forest early=loss
bayern munich was good to me.
got some french league comin' up - i like these faves;
rennes, lille, and especially auxerre.
a long shot on the goalline looking good is sochaux-this club has continued to make me $$$
portuguese league-go w/ porto.nuff said
spanish primera-coupla good plays.barca as always, like real madrid and the over, yes @ 3.5 in that game.

Pickles free plays are 3-1.. great win by phil hughes and the yankees last night. i was spot on with my analysis. today im going right back to the well. gta back CC and the yonks again. flat out this team is hot and playing some of their best baseball of the year. the red sox are soul searching. they have a group of has beens.

let's go dutch
so we're presented with a few dutch cup games today.cup games can be somewhat problematic as you never really know how seriously the teams take it and whether they will field the entire squad.that being said, i feel always a safe play in dutch league games is the over.these squads continue to pound the ball into the net. the noontime matchup i especilly like with ajax at almost even money, crazy odds, and the over @ 3. i say play both!!

whoa - 2, count 'em 2 pitch plays today.knock yourselves out.and unless you were up and at 'em you've already missed one.wigan was a solid play @ home @ -125, also liked the over there v. hull city.i understand it's 1-1 at half.
the next offering on arsenal v. blackburn-i dunno, this is alot like the manu/sunderland matchup the other day except arsenal is barely favored.check out the odds for the arsenal win-not good.they should win but the game is really meaningless.i sorta like the rovers w/ the .5 goal here!i foresee a draw.

early action on sunday-
glad to see the english championship league up-alotta good plays there if you were up and at 'em.liked swansea, nottingham and west brom especially.halftime now nottingham has a comfortable 2-0 lead while the others are scoreless.
also staring early was liverpool @ home v. chelsea.of course i like chelsea here but i really don't trust eityher team in this game.later on a play i like is the manu v. sunderland game.
black cats @ home getting 1.5 goals-i like it.manu should win but not by more than 2.
alotta too close to call games in serie a, which just started.
hafta be up early on sunday to grab the gusto.

early birds i hope were on birmingham.what a shame they gave up a cheap late goal to not win the goalline-oh well, at least it's not a loss.
in other epl really like the hotspurs-they are giving away 2 goals, that's alot to ask
