so there is some more titillating action on the pitch today. yesterdays matches went so/so so lets hope for some more winners today. alotta faves look good today and some w/ some respectable odds. at home i favor  bayern munich, olympique marseille & arsenal. the ml on marseille & bayern are high but safe, otherwise you'll hafta surrender a goal.  with aresenal your gonna hafta give up 1.5. they should cover. chelsea as a visitor is also giving up 1.5 goals. i am not as sure there but i still love chelsea. some plays that paricularly strike my fancy are the over 3 golas in the real madrid/ajax game, ajax getting 1.5 goals, auxerre getting 1.5 goals, and partizan getting 1.5 goals. so chose your poison. i need to make me some points today!!! good luck and good punting

UEFA CHAMPIONS 09/14

we've got some good soccer offered us today w/ the UEFA champions cup. it's the 1st leg of 2 so you hafta be a bit wary. home clubs should definitely be given the nod to gain a leg up on their opponent. that being said, there are 2 games w/ decent odds where i really like the home club. werder bremen @ -105 v. tottenham is a solid play. totty is a good club and would be happy with a draw here. i just see the germans prevailing and the spurs are still dealing w/ some internal changes & injuries. olympique lyon @ -120 v. schalke is the other good play. although i personally like the german club, they have not been up to form so far this year. couple that with the french side at home, i see a low scoring duel with the lyonaisse prevailing. there are other good matchups but the odds are crazy!

Pick of the Day

I really like the over on the Padres Dodgers game.  It is at 6. Padilla is returning from an injury which means that he won't go past 6 maybe 7 innings.  Padilla gave up 8 runs in his last outing and has an ERA over 6 on the road.  The Padres haven't been hitting and are due for a breakout.  Latous is been great this year for the Padres but he still will give up a run or two. If he can give up 2 and Padilla gives up for we have at worst case a push. My prediction is Padres 6 Dodgers 2., better lines are to be had on the total.  Good luck.
